Facials do so much for dull, tired skin. They also give us a chance to slow down and treat ourselves to a wonderful sensual experience. When we take time for ourselves, we have more to give. If you've never tried giving yourself a facial then what are you waiting for? Easy to do, they can become part of your beauty routine. Your skin will reflect the extra care!

Step by step
Step 1: Herbal Facial Cleansing/Scrub
Cleansing is the most important thing you can do to keep skin looking great. Our Herbal Cleansing Scrub gently exfoliates to remove dirt, dead skin, and debris, and to bring a fresh supply of blood to the skin's surface to build new cells. Designed to maintain the all important acid mantle present on healthy skin, it is also soothing, nourishing and non-drying. Without artificial ingredients or preservatives, keep the mix in a cool, dry place and moisten with liquid before use or mix up no more than a few days worth at a time for even more convenience. Gentle enough for most skin types, ideal for teenagers and aging skin. May also be used as a sensational body scrub.
For cleansing very dry and damaged skin we recommend an all natural Cold Cream (coming soon!) either alone or as a mixing medium with the Cleansing Scrub. Made with pure cold pressed Olive Oil, beeswax and water, Cold Cream very gently lifts off the dirt and grime deposited on our faces by make up or pollution. Designed to be massaged on to face and gently removed with a soft warm wet cloth it is mild enough to remove eye makeup. Enriched with reputed wrinkle chaser- rose geranium essential oil. Combine it with Cleansing Scrub for a super moisturizing face treat! Not recommended for very oily skin.

Step 2: Herbal Facial Steam
Cleaning removes surface dirt, but to clean deep down nothing beats a steam. With the added bonus of being a beauty step that requires you to sit still for a few minutes and relax this is a must try! Our Herbal Facial Steam contains a special blend of herbs chosen for their unique skin nourishing qualities. To use simply place dried herb mixture in a clean, non metal bowl and add near boiling water. Create a tent out of a large towel that will enclose your head and the steaming bowl. Lower your face over the steaming mixture- being careful never to get too close to the super hot liquid and relax. Open and close the towel-tent to regulate the amount of heat. The nourishing properties of the herbs are delivered straight to your skin via the steam, which opens and relaxes pores allowing more dirt to escape. Scented with invigorating Lemongrass essential oil, steaming can be a wonderfully pampering experience. Always follow up a steam with a skin tightening rinse- herbal or plain cool water to close pores. Use every other week or monthly.

Step 3: Mask
The main ingredient in our Herbal Facial Mask is clay, wonderful for drawing out impurities in the skin. The added herbs nourish, rejuvenate, and soothe. Mix with water for normal or oily skin, milk or cream for dry skin. Get creative! Mix with plain yogurt, mashed banana, avocado, honey or fruit juice. For an extra face treat, place cooling cucumber or warm chamomile tea bags over eyes while your mask works its wonders.
Step 4: Toning
A toner is simply a cooling, astringent liquid put on the face to refresh, close pores. Spritz onto face after your facial or anytime you need a pick-me-up! (Coming soon!)
Step 5: Moisturize
Unless your skin produces plenty of it's own natural oils (as with very oily skin), keeping it hydrated is very important. Contrary to popular belief, it is water not oil that is the first and foremost the best "moisturizer", however, it doesn't stay where it's put! Team it up with an all natural oil and you create a barrier that keeps water in the skin were it belongs and pollution out! Mystic Moon Cream is a superb combination of waters and natural oils. Using a very small amount, dab onto clean skin and gently massage in. Allow a few minutes for your skin to soak it up. |

Facial Follow up:
To keep skin it's healthiest, eat a balanced diet, drink water, water, water, (it's the best beauty treatment you can give yourself!) and protect your skin from pollutants and the harsh elements.
Skin care regime:
Everyday: Cleanse twice a day, follow with moisturizer.
Once a month (or better-every other week): Add Steam, Mask, and Toner to your cleansing routine.
